Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup desiccated coconut
  • 1/2 cup semolina
  • 1/4 cup ghee
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • Oil for deep frying

Instructions:

  1. Mix flour, semolina, ghee, and milk to make a stiff dough. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix powdered sugar, desiccated coconut, and cardamom powder to make the filling.
  3. Divide the dough into small balls and roll them out into small circles.
  4. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each circle and fold it over to form a half-moon shape. Seal the edges by pressing with a fork.
  5. Heat oil in a deep frying pan and fry the Karanjis until they are golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve Karanjis warm or at room temperature.
