Indian Butter Chicken Recipe



Ingredients:

  • 1 kg boneless chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon cumin powder
  • 1 tablespoon coriander powder
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt.
  2. Add chicken pieces to the marinade and let it marinate for at least 2 hours.
  3. In a pan, heat butter and add the marinated chicken. Cook until the chicken is almost done.
  4. Add tomato puree and cook for another 5-10 minutes.
  5. Add cream and mix well. Cook for a few more minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
  6. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or naan.
